Does recording keep going when the screen turns off?
Yes. Recording only ever starts when you start it in the Record tab, and while it runs a notification with a stop button stays up. Putting the phone down is what practice looks like, so the take continues until you stop it.
What happens if a call comes in?
What you played up to that point is saved, and recording continues by itself once the call ends. Parts shorter than half a second are not kept as files.
Where are my recordings, and are they backed up?
They are stored in the app's own storage on the phone in lossless WAV. Uninstalling the app removes them, and device backup does not include them — only display settings are backed up. To keep a take, export it as WAV or M4A from the take menu to a drive, mail or another app.
Why does the tuner show two positions for one note?
Because both are true. On a C harp, G4 is hole 2 draw and hole 3 blow; showing only one would be wrong half the time. Bends use the notation players write — 3' is one semitone, 3'' is two.
My bend was not counted as a bend.
A note counts as a bend only when bending is the only way to produce it. If the same note can be played straight, there is no way to tell which you did, so nothing is claimed. Positions that do not bend a full semitone, such as hole 5 draw and hole 7 blow, are marked in the tuner.
Can I change the reference pitch or the note names?
Yes. The reference A4 can be set from 430 to 450 Hz for ensembles that tune to 442, and note names can follow C4 (tuner standard) or C3 (GarageBand, Logic). Fourteen diatonic keys are available, from Low F to High G.
How do I change the app language?
Settings → Language. It applies to this app only; your device language stays as it is.
I bought "Remove ads" but I still see ads, or I changed phones.
The purchase belongs to your Google Play account, so sign in with the same account and the app restores it. It re-checks with Google Play on launch and when you return to the app; you can also force it with Settings → Ads → Check purchase status again. Ads never appear in the tuner, while recording or playing back, in the sheet viewer or the tab editor.
How do I revisit my privacy choices?
Settings → Privacy → "Manage privacy choices", where that choice can be revisited. Your advertising ID and personalised-ads preference can also be managed in Android's own privacy settings.
How do I delete my data?
There is no account to delete. Deleting an item in the app deletes its local data, and uninstalling the app removes everything in its app-specific storage.
